Greetings to all at Gliga Violins, My 2nd Gloria violin arrived yesterday, and once again you have made a fabulous product. I purchased another 5 string 6 weeks ago. The quality of the spruce top and maple back and sides is the equal of violins costing three times as much. The flame maple accessories are stunning. Compared to other instruments your varnish is smooth, beautifully applied, and not hastily slapped on. The sound of your Gliga, in direct comparison with an Eastman 305, is more open, with more overtones. It is superior to the $1,200 Eastman at 1/4th the price. I will be purchasing yet another. This time I would like to see what your professional instruments are like. There is a Maestro in my future. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this fine violin. Best regards, Joe Randazzo South Burlington, Vermont
I purchased an artistic design violin with lotus flowers in February (Order #191372). I apologize for the delay in writing to thank you. I am writing to tell you how rich this violin sounds. It is a beautifully made and painted instrument, signed by the luthier in 2003. I cannot thank you enough for making such a quality instrument at a wonderful price.
Hello Chris, My Gliga 5-string violin arrived today. It isn't good......It's FABULOUS! There aren't any problems or issues with anything. The wood is excellent quality, and the oil varnish has been professionally applied. The bow is perfectly balanced and has a warm sound. The abalone on the frog is striking. The setup is fine as well. Even though this is a brand new instrument and not yet broken in, it still sounds better than an Eastman violin that is three times the price. It's hard to get the low C string to resonate on a 14" violin, but Gliga has done it. The lows are excellent. I love the card that accompanied the instrument. Whoever put the label in the violin also filled out the Certificate of Quality. That's a great touch. I will be sending people to Pasadena, and also I will be buying a Gama 4-string in the very near future. I also appreciate the Federal Express updates as to precise delivery time. You can't do any better. All accessories, case, rosin, and shoulder rest, are also top quality. I am totally delighted. Many thanks. Very best regards, Joe Randazzo
Hello All, I received Saturday last my new Gama Viola. The instrument is beyond my hopes on all levels. As this is my 10th wedding anniversary gift from my husband it has a very special place in my heart. In 2013 I purchased a violin and my love for that brought me back to you again. Please express my gratitude to the makers of your fine instruments for creating such quality available at affordable prices. A world filled of Gliga instruments is a beautiful thing. Best Regards, T. Testimonial Letter for Gliga Violins Vasile Gliga, Master Luthier of Gliga Violins I received my wonderfully master crafted Gliga all walnut 4/4 violin with ash accent pieces (chinrest, tailpiece, and pegs) last week and discover that I look forward to my daily practice sessions with great enthusiasm. The masterfully tuned resonance of the bridge and spruce top to the internal soundboard and post, eventually radiating throughout the densely aged walnut body results in a blend of timbres which is truly profound! I had purchased a Gliga Bird's Eye Maple Violin (back and sides) several months prior, and I believed that the density of the wood would provide the greatest resonance possible - but I was unprepared for an entire walnut violin. My professor of violin, a child prodigy at the age of three in the Suzuki Violin School of Music, has studied and performed internationally most of her life. She has studied and performed in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Africa, and believes her violin to be one of the finest designed aside from those of the great Italian Masters. Once she had placed my new Gliga walnut violin to her shoulder, she played for ten or more minutes prior to laying it down gently and admitting that my new Gliga violin exceeded hers in tone, resonance, playability, touch, and "forgiveness" of feel. She owns a priceless French made mid-1780's violin, and considers it a product of the true old masters. I am highly impressed by your assistance and customer support, as you have provided me with complete step by step aid that any customer may require. This is my second Gliga violin purchased in excess of $2,200.00 and find that they are not only extraordinary musical instruments, but also sound financial investments. Thank you Vasile Gliga for your amazing talent, craftsmanship, and dedication to your art as a Master Luthier.
We received the Gliga Gem 1 Birdseye/Resonance Spruce 2 hours ago when our 16 yr old daughter was at home from High School for a while, and I must say that this violin was instantly adopted! She even said: "you know, my friend xxxx from Camerata just spent $8000 on a violin that doesn't even come near this precious, beautiful sounding instrument"... I guess this is a great compliment for you guys and Master Vasile! So, definitely a "Keeper". Thank you for all your good work. We will certainly recommend Gliga quality & service to all our music entourage. thank you. Jean-Louis Gillet
Dear Employees and Gliga violin makers, My name is Peter. I'm 13 and I have been a violinist for about 6 years and want to say thank you for making my Maestro B7811 violin. Last year, my family and I bought it for my promotion to 7th grade. I have gotten comments on this instrument by my private teacher, orchestra teacher, friends, and coaches. They like the sound quality, bow, and the way it was crafted by Gliga makers. You had made one of the best Gliga Maestros ever. I also thank you for my Gem III violin, because that is also a good student instrument for its price range. Thanks again -Peter
Just a thank you for my very nice Maestro Gliga. Indeed it has good tone and a mellow sound for a a moderately priced instrument. I have been playing it non stop for a week now and it feels good in my hands and notes ring true in all positions. Karen
