Musician Testimonials
This is more of a testimonial than an inquiry. I purchased a Gama 4/4 violin for my daughter. I was slightly apprehensive about buying one online, but the testimonials, complete with emails made me more confident in what I expected to receive. As cliche' as it might sound, you exceeded my expectations. I am not a musician, everyone in my family got that talent but me, but I have a fairly critical ear. I was very happy with the quality of the instrument. The sound is beautiful and we are constantly asked by people who have heard my daughter play where she got her violin. Some people are nervous about buying something expensive without getting to handle it first. I am one of those people, but I would buy from you again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great product at a great price and for the fast delivery. As I said, it has been a few years since we bought it, and it has held up beautifully !
I just wanted to let you know that I am very pleased with my purchase of a 13" School Genial 2-Nitro viola. I bought this for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas (she will be thrilled!) and knowing nothing about instruments, I had a very good friend who is an instructor and a unbelievable concert violinist check out the viola -- she was very impressed with the quality and the tone of such a small instrument when she put it through her paces. I did take the viola to another friend to re-cut the bridge (we wanted it to be more rounded for a beginning student) who repairs and also builds instruments, and he was impressed as well. We are privileged to have an orchestra program in our school district here, and our oldest son has been playing for 5 years -- we wish we would have known about you 5 years ago when we started him out as we would have just purchased his first viola and kept doing so until he got to a full size instead of paying astronomical amounts of money over the years to rent used and poor quality instruments (we finally got smart and bought him a fantastic viola from a friend needing to sell some instruments). We will be purchasing from you again as our daughter grows and requires larger violas, and in the future when our youngest son decides which instrument he wants to play. Thank you so much! Hello Received very nice Genial 1 antiqued violin Nov. 27. Sent it home with a delighted student last night.(My wife teaches.) I had picked out Gems ! #5897 as a possible next purchase, but it looks as though it has been sold. Are you expecting to have any more Gaurnerius in the Gems 1 or Gems 2 any time soon? I know you do have several now, but I would like to be able to find one with grain closer to what 5897 had. I am very pleased with the value and quality of the Genial ! #6158 which we purchased. It was exactly as represented, the peg fit was perfect, and the tone was very pleasing. I purchased the Genial 1 to evaluate so I could get an idea what to expect, knowing the Gems, Gama, and higher quality instruments would show even finer craftmanship and wood selection. Thank you for the pleasant experience and I look forward to our next transaction. I did not start out intending for this email to develop into a testimonial, but to the extent that it may have done so, please feel free to use any part of it. I have been repairing instruments as a hobby for over 30 years and have worked on many violins, and it is because of the poor quality violins that some of my wife's students show up with that I have looked for a better option, and I feel I have found it. Hello, We received the beautiful violin about 1 1/2 weeks ago and my daughter loves it! She's had her first violin lesson now, and her teacher has also commented on what a lovely violin it is. You will be happy to know my violin arrived this past Tuesday night, April fourth. I should have contacted you then but I was too busy playing with it. I have been 'trying' it out ever since. When I play it I feel as though I should be performing in an orchestra. I know that sounds corny but it is true. I have had my teacher, Maria Alejandra, check out the violin and she is more than impressed with it. She is very pleased with the quality of the sound, as well as, the overall condition of it. She only re-affirmed to me what I already knew that I had made a great find and purchased a very beautiful instrument. I am more than please with the way the violin looks, sounds and how it was packaged for shipment. A few friends have seen it now and they have all fallen in love with it. My congratulations go out to the artist(s) who are responsible for the art work on it. I can not say enough about the artwork. It is as though the artist(s) knew exactly what would make me happy. Every time I look at it I can see something new, something that I had missed before. The case for it was more than I expected and for the color, well, it is exquisite. It is the perfect rich black and dark deep purple that I was looking for. The artist(s) not only created something truly unique but also something that will become more valuable with time. There are so many things on and about the violin itself that I simply can’t relate them all in an e-mail. I would like to take a moment and thank you personally, Eric. Your kindness and patience went above and beyond what was called for. You took the time to explain how certain pieces of the violin worked and how best to improve on them.
